The Vision is a Marvel Comics character. He was a synthezoid created by Avengers foe Ultron, using the brain patterns of dead Avenger Wonder Man. He had the ability to fly and alter his density. Vision was sent to kill the Avengers, but was unable to, due to Wonder Man’s brain patterns conflicting with his orders. He was offered membership with the team, and he was a consistent fixture of the team for a large portion of their original run. He married fellow Avenger Scarlet Witch. He attempted to take control of the world’s computer systems, after which he was dismantled by the US government. When he was rebuilt, he retained none of his memories of his marriage to the Scarlet Witch, leading to their relationship ending. He eventually regained his memories, and the two somewhat rekindled their relationship.

Following Vision’s destruction in the Avengers Disassembled story line (it’s a very long, badly written story), Vision was re-constituted using Young Avenger Iron Lad’s armor. This version of Vision was somewhat based on the personality of Iron Lad, leading to a more juvenile persona. He was nick named “Jonas” by the Young Avengers, and served as a member of the team. He began a relationship with fellow member Stature. Following Stature’s death at the hands of Dr. Doom, Jonas was murdered by an angry Iron Lad.
